Croatian League second phase, Game 5: April 7, 2007
Marin Rozic Cibona Cibona stayed unstoppble atop the Croatian League standings and stayed as the only team unbeaten after 5 games by thrashing Borik Puntamika 65-95 on the road on Saturday. Marin Rozic led the winners with 16 points. Davor Kus added 14, Chris Warren had 12 while Luksa Andric and Brent Wright each chipped in 10 for Cibona, that led 37-51 at halftime and did not find much trouble to stay unbeaten in its domestic competition. Zadar is now second at 4-1 by downing Split 75-87 also on Saturday, in the most interesting game of the week. Carl English paced the winners with 29 points. Jure Lalic added 21 while Todor Gecevski had 16 and 10 rebounds for Zadar. Erick Barkley had 19 points for Split while Larry Ayuso added 18. Split led 44-43 at halftime but Zadar improved its defense on Ayuso after the break. The guests got a 58-68 margin after three quarters and cruised to a big win. In other games, Svjetlost Brod beat Kvarner Novi Resort 95-77 while Zagreb edged Cedevita 91-89 behind 22 points from Josip Sesar.
