Cibona is now the exclusive leader atop the Croatian League standings with a 4-0 record bu edging Split 100-96 at home on Wednesday. Andrew Wisniewski led the winners with 26 points and 6 assists. Brent Wright posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds, Barisa Krasic added 13 points, Marijan Mance had 12 and Marin Rozic 10 for Cibona. Larry Ayuso led Split with 31 points while Erick Barkley and Hrvoje Peric each added 21 for the guests, who led 47-59 early in the third quarter. Wisniewski stepped up with 9 unanswered points and soon added a three-pointer for a 87-84 edge late in the game. Cibona did not miss a single free throw down the stretch and cruised to a difficult home win. Zadar improved to 3-1 and ties for the second place in the standings by beating Svjetlost Brod 86-94 on the road on Thursday. Carl English had 22 points for Zadar while Jure Lalic added 18 for the winners. In other games, Cedevita thrashed Borik Puntamika 105-74 at home on Saturday behind 28 points from Petar Dujmovic while Zagreb downed Kvarner Novi Resort 76-103 also on Saturday. Nikola Garma led 7 Zagreb players in double digits with 16 points.
