Croatian League, second phase, Game 3: March 20-21, 2007
Davor Kus - Cibona Cibona and Split keep tying atop the Croatian League standings, each with a 3-0 record. Cibona did not find much trouble to down Cedevita 66-90 on the road on Tuesday. Davor Kus and Marijan Mance led the winners each with 15 points. Brent Wright added 14, Barisa Krasic had 11 and Marton Bader 10 in an easy road win for Cibona, that led 32-46 at halftime and kept a safe margin all the way in the second half to cruise to a well-deserved win. Split had to battle harder to edge Svjetlost Brod 77-82 on the road also on Tuesday. Larry Ayuso led the way for Split with 29 points while Hrvoje Peric had 15. Ljubo Samadan had 24 points for Svjetlost, that led 60-57 aftre three quarters. Ayuso and Eric Barkley allowed Split to win it down the stretch. Zadar improved to 2-1 by downing Zagreb 77-82 on the road. Carl English had 26 points for Zadar, Jure Lalic added 16 and Juby Johnson 15. Ante Tomic had 21 points for Zagreb. Last but not least, Borik Puntamika needed overtime to down Kvarner Novi Resort 95-86 behind 18 points from Mate Mrva.
